hsv1 stays hsv1 regardless of its location. It can never turn into hsv2.
You won't transmit your own hsv1 infection to your genitals.
has your partner been tested yet to know their own status?
grace
No my partner hasn't been tested tbh at least not that I know of. I dont think thats a big deal right since he lives miles away from me. :$ But that was just worrying me because I head so much of type one and type 2
well you can't make educated decisions about what precautions to take with a partner until you know who has what !
Well I have type 1 I dont think he has anything really ...unless your stating that whenever I see him that he should get tested? If im making a few errors, correct me.
if he's never been tested to know his own herpes status, you have no idea if you need to be protecting him from your hsv1 that you know you have. He could also have hsv2 and not know it and you can't protect yourself against it if you don't even know that he has it.
make more sense?
Yes thank you for explaining it more..
