vaccine

I know this is a hard question, but if there are meds that can be taken either orally or by shots,i.e. antibiotics, why cant they inject valacyclovir or somethiing similar into an infected person, and used as a vaccine?

the rates of resistance to herpes antivirals in otherwise healthy folks are about 1% if I recall. typically doesn't happen.

you will still have recurrences even while on suppressive therapy too.

thanks i just read them
my other question is: I am on daily suppressive Valtex(generic).
I forgot to take a pill and I noticed a small red bump on the foreskin.
Does it just take forgetting one pill to get an outbreak, because in the past i did skip a day and nothing happened.
Thanks

i found this online article...whats your opinion on it:
Well acylcovir isnt meant to be a cure, even with a more efficient way of delivering the drugs, in the form of lectroject, the acyclovir and other related drugs do not have the potential to cure the virus. They are antivirals, but they are synthetic which means the virus will grow immune to acyclovir and results in longer outbreaks and more outbreaks in general. It will however be more effective at "treating" your herpes outbreaks, but in the long run you'll see the symptoms get worse because the virus will grow immune to it and replicate like never before. You're probably thinking, well by then the virus will be dead, well i might very well be, but I dont have as much confidence in synthetic drugs like some people have. I do not believe the body can be cured by delivering a drug more efficiently, it just isnt that easy. Ive done extensive researhc into curing herpes, and I am very confident and happy to say that I have found a cure, and various ones for whats it worth, but I will begin treating myself within the following weeks. Even with this approach, it will still take time to kill of the virus from the body, at least a couple of months with daily treatment. If you are serious about curing yourself, look into natural therapies, in my opinion they are the only way to get rid of a virus. Specifically look at colloidal silver, and do not believe those people who tell you there is no cure, because they just really havnt taken the time to look, dont think that your doctor would tell you if there was a cure. Its one big picture that you have to understand and piece together, its not something so simple to understand, its involves corruption, money, government, coporations, murder, genocide, politics, economics. Start doing research into colloidal silver, this IS a cure for herpes, dont let anybody convince you otherwise, there are also other cures but this is the easiest to do, BUT it will take time and dedication.

doesn't work that way with valtrex/acyclovir/famvir etc.    they only act to disrupt the viral replication cycle, they don't prevent infection.

unfortunately so far all the herpes vaccines they've researched haven't been effective.  Still a few in research and hopefully 1 of them proves successful in the  next few years :)
