Herpes Doubt

Hi,

First of all thanks for your help & support on this forum. My story. I had a protected intercourse and unprotected oral received from a girl of unknown status of stds. She claims to be safe and tested negative for all few days before that. This all happened in last week of March, 2012. After 2 days, it started burning in my penis ( no discharge ) and I got panicked and took self-treatment of Azithromycin and doxy and the burning went away after 10 days. After that, I don't have any sexual contacts. Quite few times in between went to massage parlour and got hand jobs. So, let me tell my testing results.

1) 6/25/2012 - tested at labcorp for only hiv - negative
2) 9/10/2012 - tested at labcorp for hiv and hsv 1 & 2 type specific igg - both negative
3) 10/19/2012 - tested for all stds(including hsv 1 & 2 type specific igg) at Quality labs in Bkly, NY - all negative

As I said, I didn't had any sex with any one after my exposure back in march, 2012. Now, the problem is, from past 1 month, I am suffering from stinging/burning in my penis after peeing and masturbation. Also, some times I feel some thing like cutting like a saw inside my penis. So, I took myself empirial treatment Cipro 500 daily for 10 days and after a gap of 1 week I took azithromycin for 1000 gm daily for 3 days (thinking more antibiotic will release my pain), but they didn't helped.

These antibiotics are part of my first-aid kit, which prescribed from my family doctor from my country.

I visited a urgent care and they performed urinalysis and it was clear and just to release my pain they gave me Azithro(1 gm) and suprax (400 mg) and I took all at a time, and I am on my 3rd day after medication are they are not helping me at all.

When I open my urethra, and look inside it with magnifier, I see little milky fluid, which looks unusual to me. And recently, I am seeing slight discharge. Now, I am worrying, if it is any kind of herpes and not healing. But again I doubt, because my lab results shows negative. Also the time elapsed for the HSV tests after my exposure is more than 5 months.

Can you please help this guy in knowing what could be the problem? Are thses really any kind of uretheral herpes? Does herpes cause symptoms more than a month? I usually observe/watch my penis daily very closely and I didn't saw any herpes blisters/sores till date. Can it be urethral herpes? Please help me. GOD bless all.

Thanks in advance.

you don't need any further testing for herpes. your symptoms aren't herpes related.

Thank you very much Grace. Sorry for my poor English. I scheduled an appointment with urologist next week. I will keep you posted on his opinion. By the way, just want to ask a quick question, does herpes linger inside urethra for more than a month? Can I believe the test results which I got? I am planning to go to Quest lab this time for getting tested for HSV 1 & 2 igg. What do you suggest?

no reason to be poking around and peering inside your urethra!! all you are doing is irritating things needlessly!!

at this point, you've treated needlessly with multiple antibiotics :(  You should seek out an urology consult for further evaluation. they will also probably manually check your prostate too.  in the future, don't self treat and be seen for treatment first to find out what is going on.

is this herpes going on? your symptoms don't sound at all like genital herpes.  your negative tests repeatedly also back that this isn't a herpes issue.
