Kiss on the Cheek

Someone with a cold sore kissed me on the cheek today when greeting me, what are the chances of getting a cold sore from this?

And when would I know

There is no risk here. The skin on your cheek is too thick for the virus to penetrate, so you can't get herpes from a kiss on the cheek.
