Herpes or not?

Okay here goes last Wednesday I had went out to eat got some food poisoning  and had a lot of bowel movements the next day which was thursday. Sorry for the info. So I had shaved my behind area as to keep it clean. Aa I was shaving I felt like I had nicked skin in a few places the next day or two I was sore and it got worse and worse I thought I had infected my but area from using the restroom shaving and wiping so much and that it was very hot. So I goto the Dr to get antibiotics she takes one look and says oh this is herpes! What. ? I have  been with my bf for 10 years and he has never had anything on his penis he did have a cold sore but that was like 1 to 2 months before and I don't think he went down there with that. She does a blood test for type on and two and I get my results the 7 days after I had first shaved that they were negative for herpes. The next day she even emails me and tells me the swab was positive but not for what type. I looked at my results and it said they were abnormal. I had put a antibacterial Neosporin on my butt and also a hydrocortisone  my question is could this really be herpes if I have been with my boyfriend for 10 years and have never had anything like this before it happened after I shaved and from what I noticed the areas were very white and popped a white pus not clear or yellow and then they looked like lesions. And healed please help . Also I had no symptoms of herpes no fatigue no itching no swollen lymph nodes just burine which could obviously be from an infection like folliculitis

Have the sample type tested if you can. The culture or swab test is very accurate and a positive results is conclusive. If the blood tests were negative then your infection is recent. Your boyfriend should get an igg blood test for hsv as well.
