Do I have herpes!??!

I had protected sex with a girl who I found out later has herpes. Now I’m panicking thinking that every little itch or bump is herpes. I have what looks like a pimple down at the start of my shaft it was skin color until i popped it knowing I shouldn’t have but i was panicking. I think it could be a razor bump or like oil gland getting clogged. Because I’ve looked at a lot of herpes picture and I look nothing like them. It doesn’t itch or burn at all and I feel like I had this before it always happens after I shave but I was told the news from that girl. So I’ve tooken a blood test Friday and am waiting for my results Tuesday. Can someone please help me to try to figure out what I got I’m going crazy here. Thanks in advance!!!!

But it really sounds like nothing at all. Especially since you guys had protected sex and it is harder for a woman to pass it to a man, but not impossible even with protection. My bump didn’t itch and burn and I had no classic tingling feelings you get before it appears. I’m sure you’re fine. But for peace of mind, you could go get the test done since I’m sure you’ll drive yourself crazy until you know. Do you know what test they did? They might have done have IGM test instead of the IGG since you obviously wouldn’t show positive on that test yet unless you already had it yourself and didn’t know.

Unfortunately your blood test won’t be accurate now. You will need an IGG blood test but you need to wait 3 sometimes up to 4 months from last possible exposure to produce a positive result. And I understand how the mind plays tricks on you. I was diagnosed by blood test but never had an outbreak until recently. Mine didn’t look anything like the classic picture you see online. Just one spot, never had fluid, never poppped, never scabbed over. So you could go get that spot checked at the doctor. My doctor even said it looked nothing like a herpes lesion, but it was after being tested. They can actually swab the spot and test it which will actually look for the DNA of the virus instead of a blood test which just looks for antibodies. You may want to go get that spot tested, then wait 3 months to get a blood test. Hopefully it’s just nothing though. Many people have this and never realize it. Either because they don’t show symptoms, or they mistake it for an ingrown hair or pimple. I know it sucks.
