I RECENTLY WENT TO THE CLINIC FOR A STD CHECK UP SINCE I WAS EXPERIENCING A BURNING SENSATION WHEN I URINATED BUT IT WAS SLIGHT BACK IN OCTOBER IT WAS DIAGNOSED AS A SIMPLE YEAST INFECTION BUT I HAVEN'T REALLY BEEN USING THE CREAM THEY GAVE ME. I GOT MY RESULTS BACK TODAY AND IT SAID HSV 2 IGG TYPE SPECIFIC AB 2.14 I WANT TO KNOW IS THIS 100% ACCURATE CAUSE I HAVEN'T HAD ANY SYMPTOMS NO BUMPS NO NOTHING FROM WHAT I CAN SEE
you will get different results each time you take the test due to many factors. the changes in the results though don't have any real meaning.
Another question how come my score decreased.? It went from 2.14-1.65

if you have a quest labs near you, your provider can order it to be done through them.

Where would I find this test.? And is it possible for other infections like yeast to be mistaken in the blood as herpes antibodies.
I took another std test and it still a low positive for herpes but this time my score came back lower than it was before. Last time it was 2.14 now it's 1.65.

start with repeating your igg test. if it's still a low positive, then a WB can be done after 4 months after you had last had sex.
Thabk you but I'm still kind of nervous and just wanted to know how accurate was the igg test and should I get a western blot after the 3 months are over
you need to wait 3 months after you last had sex and repeat your herpes igg blood testing and go from there. you tested too early for us to confirm your status yet.
