Herpes shedding in bodily fluids

I read in a post that Terri Warden said that herpes sheds in tears. Does this mean that I could autoinoculate by crying?

Just because shedding takes place does not mean it will be passed to another ganglia. The thing about your subject is that its more passed to the eyes not passed from the eyes. In either case its not common to pass to the eyes unless all the enviorenmental causes are met.

Hi, autoinoculation is extremely rare once the body has built up its immune system.

But if it's a primary outbreak or I have a very low immune system, could I autoinnoculate with tears?

Okay. :) I have an open wound on my wrist and I sneezed in the direction of my wrist, could I have caused herpes to infect the wound via flying saliva/nasal droplets?

these are really unrealistic questions.Herpes needs direct contact to be at risk for contracting. And there needs to be some rubbing and grinding to increase the risk.

Okay sorry, I've just heard it can be passed through saliva. So it would need to have been rubbed in?

Does shedding only take place in mucous membranes?
