Hi, autoinoculation is extremely rare once the body has built up its immune system.
But if it's a primary outbreak or I have a very low immune system, could I autoinnoculate with tears?
Ahh okay, and what are the environmental causes?
Also may I ask you something else? I don't know wether I should open a new thread or just ask here haha.
Its ok to ask another question
Okay. :) I have an open wound on my wrist and I sneezed in the direction of my wrist, could I have caused herpes to infect the wound via flying saliva/nasal droplets?
these are really unrealistic questions.Herpes needs direct contact to be at risk for contracting. And there needs to be some rubbing and grinding to increase the risk.
Okay sorry, I've just heard it can be passed through saliva. So it would need to have been rubbed in?
Does shedding only take place in mucous membranes?
