Can you get herpes from a glob of spit in your eye.

A friend of mine was talking to me and a big drop of her spit flew into my eye while she had an outbreak of a cold sore. I am very worried she said it was already dried over but being the anxiety freak I am I researched and know that it is contagious until it is completely gone even after that there is the shedding so yes I am freaking out. I have cold sores too but I try everything to keep from ever giving it to anyone because that is how I got it from a family member being careless and giving it to me from kissing me on the lips when I was little. I really need to have some assurance that Its not likely possible please do I now have ocular herpes, I did put a lot of eye drops after I felt it enter my eye but was it enough to keep it from infecting me?

Not possible.  saliva contains digestive enzimes that kill things.

Yes im sure. Herpes virus is very delicate and doesnot survive long outside the body and it needs to be rubbed into a nerve.
