Reoccurring ulcer

So last month before I started my period I noticed an ulcer on my labia. Freaked out went to the doctor and had test run. Well they lost my herpes test and the bulb went away after like 3 days so I stopped worrying about it. Well it has recovered but not quite in the same spot and is larger than before. Is this herpes? I have a doctors appointment on Monday so I'm hoping they can do the viral swab for me then. I also have a kanker sore in my throat that has reputed in the same spot. I only had sex with this guy once in protected is it possible to get both oral and genital herpes all at once?
