New to herpes

I have a couple concerns,
I had my first outbreak almost a month ago and was diagnosed with HSV1. I have gone to the doctor since and she said i should be okay to have sex again because I was finished with my medicine and everything seemed to be cleared up. I decided to wait another couple weeks just to be safe. Yesterday I had sex and about 6 or 7 hours later around my labia and just inside looked to be a little swollen and was almost shedding blood. Not to where it was bleeding but if you were to dab it with a tissue it would leave it a little red. I'm not sure if I'm already having another outbreak or what is going on. I don't feel tingly or burning or itching. Has anyone else experienced this and should I start taking my medicine?

Sex can trigger outbreaks but just have a swollen area does not mean an outbreak. I think your just creaking yourself out. If an area is red, meaning the virus is on the surface, it may just be shedding without any sore developing.

I'm aware, this partner was the person I got the virus from though. I'm wondering if sex is a trigger for my outbreak, how soon would I be experiencing symptoms? Or am I just creaking myself out. Thanks for taking the time to help me out

If you have genital hsv1 its really not safe to have unprotected sex with someone that does not have it as shedding does occur.
