IGG HSV2 3.52
I had a routine test done. never symptoms etc.. came back POS hsv2 igg 3.52? High hsv1 igg 5.0. Never had symptoms of both?? Should I TRY the Western Blot? Or just give up? Is a igg hsv 2 igg 3.52 very high??
It's good that you have a positive outlook, even though initially a herpes diagnosis can be difficult (I have genital HSV1). Yes, the Western Blot is pretty much the gold standard, but at least you know for certain now. And indeed, our kids make herpes seem really quite trivial in the scheme of things!
I talked to my ex husband n he seems to think all this is no big deal, he has never had symptoms n laughed about it n said im sure more people have it than u know esp if they never had symptoms, n said he will get tested but hes not sure he would rather not know! I have only been w 2my people since my divorce n have lost contact w both. I know that the western blot is the it test so im not gonna get retested. Just crazy that iv never even had a cold sore, not to mention ever any mild symptoms or anything down there! Just goes to show u this game of sex is a gamble! Im sad. But it could be worse! I have a beautiful lil girl n life goes on! I appreciate all the help on here! U r all amazing people!
Well if you've gone this long without symptoms, you may never! There's no rhyme or reason, unfortunately.
Do you have a regular partner? Has he been tested to know is own status?

Well got results back positive for both HSV 1 and 2 by western blot. So it is what it is. I guess I will learn to cope n deal :( thank you for all your help!! At least Iv never had symptoms. Just a few questions:
What are the chances I will get an outbreak?

Is a 3.52 a high test number? Iv read anything under 4.0 w no symptoms n a + hsv1 result should be tested again w western blot? I just got my western blot kit today. Will be sending it out this week hopefully. I will post my results. Thank you for ur help, u give me hope. Esp w someone thats never had symptom!
yes you should seek out a herpes WB to confirm your status since you've never had symptoms.
