Can these symptoms be herpes?

So I’ve been with my current boyfriend for a few months and never in the past have I had a Herpes outbreak(to my knowledge).
2 days ago I was very itchy around my anus however the itchiness only seemed to be bad as I was scratching it. Once I left it alone for a little bit the itchiness sort of went away. I felt a bump but nothing that felt like pimples or blisters. Yesterday I had another itch attack but that was mainly due because I started to scratch it again. When I took a mirror I saw that it was all red, sort of like a rash. There were red spots but no blisters to what I can see. They seem to be on both sides of my anus but more so on one side than the other. I also think I scratched it so much that I made the skin raw and so it’s a little wet to what I’m assuming is the raw skin underneath. Could that be Herpes or just a rash? I recently started birth control and apparently bc can cause yeast infections and rashes can be formed due to yeast infections but I have no symptoms of a yeast infection.
I’m very worried, please help!

This really does not sound like hsv at all. If it persists then get it looked at for a propper diagnosis and treatment.
