positive HSV

I am a 53 y/o female.  I discovered that my husband has been having sexual encounters
with various questionable women for a number of years without protection.  I had my doc
run some blood work for me.  HSV I/II, IgG came back positive from LabCorp.  The
result was 33.0  I have been searching the internet and cannot find anyone with a result
this high.  Can anyone explain it?  I have no symptoms.  My doc says that 70% of people
have it and I shouldn't worry.  What do you think?

there are several different brand names. your provider needs to order hsv1 and separate hsv2 igg blood testing for you.

Thank you for your answer. What is the name of the proper test so that I can ask my fp to order it.

you had a non-type specific test done which was a waste of time and money :(

your provider will need to repeat your blood test with the proper test in order for it to give you any answers at all.
