Still need questions answered!

I put a post up last night and it was deleted for some reason. I have been suffering with symptoms of oral and vaginal herpes for literally weeks without the presence of lesions. I had all but talked myself into the idea that it was completely in my head. Until yesterday when I had a "sore" develop in my right nostril. It looks like just one, but I poked at it and now it is very seepy and red, a little blood coming out. I then remembered that I had previously dismissed what I thought was a pimple in the same place about 3 weeks ago. My doctors office keeps shuffling me around; I was supposed to see them today and they moved me until Thursday! I'm going crazy.. Could something like this be a recurring outbreak? Did I miss the primary or dismiss it with the first nose "zit"? It's been Weeks since the unprotected oral and vaginal sex?? If I have herpes in my nose can it be hsv2 or is it automatically 1?? I'm so confused and emotionally destroyed.

I'll tell you it can't come fast enough- today has been awful. my lips and nose has been tingling since I woke up & something definitely doesn't feel right as there's some mild pain and stinging in my vagina.. I have once again thoroughly inspected myself and see nothing but I don't even know what I am looking for anymore. I am sick every day.. I feel incredibly awful. I hate that this may never end.

Those that contract a same type of herpes in both areas do so at the same time so yes you could have a vaginal outbreak and not necessarily. Let us how the doctor visit turns out.

Ok.. So let me ask this: if he did have a sore and I did have a blister in my nostril from his sore, wouldn't I have had a vaginal outbreak as well as he performed oral sex? Or not necessarily??

yes but with no sore the risk is close to zero

Again I am sorry to continue with stupid questions, but if he didn't have a sore and gave me oral sex, then the likelihood of transmission would be minimal. But not minimal for oral transmission? Is it more easily spread orally?

yes its possible to have genital hsv1 but if they did not have any lip sores at the time your risk would be close to zero

Thank you for your reply. My reservation about it being HSV2 is obviously because I had unprotected oral and vaginal sex.. But I have not had anything in the way of lesions in or around my vagina. Could I have genital HSV1 without lesions? Does that even make any sense?? I'm sorry if these are stupid questions but I am so lost!
