Facial is most often hsv1 not hsv2
Thank you for your reply. My reservation about it being HSV2 is obviously because I had unprotected oral and vaginal sex.. But I have not had anything in the way of lesions in or around my vagina. Could I have genital HSV1 without lesions? Does that even make any sense?? I'm sorry if these are stupid questions but I am so lost!
yes its possible to have genital hsv1 but if they did not have any lip sores at the time your risk would be close to zero
I understand but then why would I have one in my nose? I'm sorry to be so annoying I am just trying to figure all of this out...
can have outbreaks with oral anywhere from the breast up.
Again I am sorry to continue with stupid questions, but if he didn't have a sore and gave me oral sex, then the likelihood of transmission would be minimal. But not minimal for oral transmission? Is it more easily spread orally?
yes but with no sore the risk is close to zero
Ok.. So let me ask this: if he did have a sore and I did have a blister in my nostril from his sore, wouldn't I have had a vaginal outbreak as well as he performed oral sex? Or not necessarily??
Those that contract a same type of herpes in both areas do so at the same time so yes you could have a vaginal outbreak and not necessarily. Let us how the doctor visit turns out.
I'll tell you it can't come fast enough- today has been awful. my lips and nose has been tingling since I woke up & something definitely doesn't feel right as there's some mild pain and stinging in my vagina.. I have once again thoroughly inspected myself and see nothing but I don't even know what I am looking for anymore. I am sick every day.. I feel incredibly awful. I hate that this may never end.
All questions have been thoroughly answered in this and other threads. If you have further concerns, please consult a physician in person.
