This is not indicative of HSV2 at all.
Given the exposure you may wish to consider a 16 week test but thus is looking like it will be negative.
Oh, I was going to do a blood test at 12 weeks (my doctor told me it would be conclusive by then) but you think I should wait until 16?
Because you may have HSV1 and this delays seroconversion beyond 12 weeks for just a tiny fraction of people. Plus with so symptoms try to put this put of your head, the test will just be a sleep easy.
Cool thanks. Well I do have HSV1 but I haven't gotten cold sores yet. Had an initial baseline test done at 4 days post encounter that was positive for that. I probably got it as a child because my dad would get cold sores sometimes. So maybe I should do 16 weeks for the test. I have had some severe anxiety after this encounter. Do you think that this could cause my symptoms?
It usually does! Stress is usually the worse contributing factor.
With HSV1, most people do not experience the broader symptom set, in fact most don't know at all. This is because the antibodies are already damn effective against HSV2.
Yeah I am worried that I could be infected but have a mild or asymptomatic infection due to my prior HSV1.
