Male Received Oral Sex, Fever only symptom

Hi,

1.5 months back, I received unprotected oral sex from a girl that I met for the first time. She did not have any visible cold sores. It lasted for around 5-10 minutes and I did not ejaculate. I did find out later that she is sexually active with many guys.

3 weeks after this I got a fever which went away in 5-6 days. I have not had any other symptoms apart from this.

I was tested earlier around 6 months back and did not have any STDs. This was the only risky sexual encounter I have ever had.

What is my risk for HSV 1 and how long should I wait before I get tested. Also how reliable are tests from agencies like STDCHECK.

Thank you

I recommend you go to check this with the online STD counselor on a Herpes support site: Positivesingles.dating. Good luck!

Hi, having fever symptom at 3 weeks is a bit outside the usual window period of 3 to 13 days. With no lip sores at the time, your risk is near zero that you contacted herpes from a one time affair.
