False tests?

I have been tested three times in a matter of 7 months, ever since I found out my partner was told the sore may be herpes. She has only been with one other person besides me and they are clean. I have been with multiple and occasionally engaged in unprotected sex. I never had signs or symptoms that I noticed. I got tested as soon as she informed me of the chance. Her tests came back positive for HSV-2, whereas mine came back negative. I thought I was in the clear. From then on we continued to have protected sex. We ended up spliting up about 5 months after or so... and I engaged in unprotected sex with another partner and noticed the next morning a irritated spot on the top of the shaft of my penis. I immediately got tested and once again the test came back negative, they also performed an "early detection test". The latter partner claims to be clean as well 3 months before our encounter and she got tested once again afterwards. Meanwhile, the spot became a sore then began to heal. I decided to get tested for all STD's and came up negative once more. However, the original sore was healing but next to it spawned a cluster of what looked like fluid filled blisters that acted the same way as the original sore. Along with that there was a patch in my pubic area that reacted the same way. I was certain it was herpes. My symptoms were just those sores, pain in my inguinal glands, and itching only on the pubic region. I went to a friend of mine and he wrote me a prescription for herpes medication, about a week's worth. I'm not sure how quickly the sores are supposed to go away but I have had them for almost a month now. The medication does not seem to be speeding the healing process up as I assumed it should. Not sure what else it could possibly be or if I'm just prone to false negatives, the likelyhood of 3 false tests seems rare. I would just like to know for sure and move on. How likely are false tests when they performed the type specific blood tests, no culture though. If not an STD what else could it be?

actually the likelyhood for 3 negative tests for herpes is not as rare as you think. Herpes hides itself in the body within your spine, that is why your body cannot find and destroy it, it is incurable. Herpes is quite difficult to find sometimes, hard to test for. It does sound a little like herpes to me, the blisters do, but the shouldnt be there for almost a month! mine went within 5days. What was the medication you took? Also, I am not sure how easy it is to transmit simplex 2, but simplex 1 doesnt viral shred as much and is a lot harder to transmit to a partner. If your ex didnt have an outbreak whilst having sex, or an outbreak not long after then you may be ok, plus it is harder for a man to get it. Either way, it is odd that your tests for all STD's were negative, maybe you should be testing for something else. Good luck with whatever you decide.

You need to go and be seen monday and get a full work up. Not just blood tests for herpes, you need proper evaluation at this point.  it would be very unusual for herpes to last this long unchanged so it's likelyto be something else.
