High false positive rate?

7 weeks ago,  I had an unprotected oral sex (fellatio and cunnilingus) with a young girl with unknown status. My penis have touched the outside of her vagina, but very briefly (never penetrated, strictly from the outside). I have a circumstances penis and I did not notice and sores or ulcers on her body.

One week after the encounter, I started to feel some discomfort while peeing, the need of frequent peeing, and noticed a transparent discharge coming from the penis. I went to an STD clinic and they gave me antibiotics for both chlamydia and gonorrhea. The test results came back one week later and it was clear (for HIV, chlamydia and gonorrhea). The discharge and discomfort disappeared.

6 weeks after the encounter, I repeated the HIV, chlamydia and gonorrhea tests and are all negative again.

Asked the Dr. if I should get a Herpes test and he told me that it is too early and anyway blood tests for herpes have high false positive rate that they don't recommend that I get tested unless I show symptoms! is this true? what are my risks and how can I get ease of mind?

Thanks! No I never get oral cold sores. I actually never had sex or close physical contact with anyone other than my wife (and this incident now)

Its been almost 8 weeks now with no symptoms.

Do you already get oral cold sores, the HSV1 virus? If so then you were at no practical risk of infection.
If you didn't have HSV1 at the time of the incident, then if you were infected then you'd have pretty obvious symptoms of lesions most likely. Peeing issues will not be related to herpes.
I'd suggest you have no cause for concern regarding herpes.

The thing is, I would like to make sure that I don't have any stds without showing symptoms so I can resume having unprotected sex with my wife.

They say 12 weeks is when to get tested for herpes. Some people don't show my symptoms. If you get a cold sore it's not that bad, I have had them since a child. Even if she didn't have visibile sores u could get infected, but as doctor said, if I have symptoms then go see the doctor again.
