Interpretation of lab results - help!

I recently had a series of tests done to rule out stds.  I have never had any symptoms; I just wanted reassurance upon beginning a new relationship.  I had a herpes test done through labcorp.  I am confused by the results and what I should do next.  My MD seems unable/ unwilling to help me with the interpretation.
The test was an IgG test.  I had an index of 41.3 on the general test.
This prompted a more specific test, which read an index of 3.74.  Does
this mean I have HSV2?  Should I be on treatment?  Should I have more specific tests performed?  Please help!

Well, it depends on if the 3.74 was on the hsv1 or hsv2 test.  Do you have the results on paper?

If you don't, you should get them.
