Rash on inner thigh

So recently i made a stupid decision and visited a massage parlor with the "happy" ending.  I ended up having protected sex with the lady.   About 3 or four days later i noticed a rash just like a heat rash on my inner thigh.  It was very itchy but after a few days it isn't as bad but the rash is still a little visible.  No sores or blisters or soreness.  I am in a humid environment and would like to think this is just a case of a fungal infection but i can't get the massage experience out of my head.  What do you think the odds of it being herpes is.  I have nothing on my penis or scrotum....... Any advice would be great, i am stressing big time over this!!

Hi I just read your post about your scare with a possible case of herpes on your upper inner thigh. I too was
In the same
Scenario and developed
What looked
Like a insect bite of some sort, it doesn't really itch but I did felt some
Discomfort when walking long distances as it
Is a humid environment. Your post has settled
Me
Down but I am still
Worried. I'm
Going to
Try find a doctor where I can be tested.
Has the infected area flared up again over time
And how did you treat it? Thanks

So you think i shouldn't worry about it being herpes.  Before the massage parlor i have only been with one other person for 15 years.  It was just like a heat rash no blisters or anything like that.....  Either way i will have a test result in a week or so.  I am just really stressed over the whole situation.  Hopefully it was just a mild case of jock itch.  Like i said as soon as i starred using the jock itch spray it went away in a couple of days, so it lasted maybe 4 days...

Its just not an area for a recently acquired outbreak. That area would be for recurrent outbreaks.

I am still really nervous about the rash i had on my inner thighs back in Sept.  I am currently waiting on test results.  You stated that a newly acquired infection would not present a rash on my inner thighs like that?  The rash did go away in a few days, i treated it with jock itch spray.  It never did produce any blisters.  I think i have read every herpes website on the internet!  It was a drunken mistake to go to that massage parlor.  I was deployed and not thinking straight.  I have a family that i am really afraid I could lose over something so dumb!  The rash occurred just a few days after the encounter thats what has me worried!  At any rate, thank you for your time.  I was just wondering if i could touch base with you one more time.  Thank you again!! I am hoping this will just be a lesson learned and i can move on!

So it has been a couple months, i recently went to the lab and had tests for all typical STDs.  I have been having a hard time with this, i am now experiencing a noticeable discomfort at the tip of my penis, when the urethra brushes my underwear mostly.  I am afraid that the original rash on my inner thigh was herpes and this is my next symptom.   I have read that inner thigh rash is a symptom of herpes but mine never had any sores or anything like that, it was more like a heat rash and lasted about 4 or five days, it itched but that was it and was at the crease of my inner thigh on both sides.  Do you think it could be herpes? Im freaking out over this!! I guess i will know for sure here in a couple of weeks.  Just wondering what your thoughts were. Thank you!!

Hi and welcome, If the rash on your inner thigh a symptom of a herpes outbreak from a new acquired infection? No it is not. Its the wrong spot as most would occur on the shaft of pubic mound area.  To confirm your herpes status, test at 8 weeks as an indictor or 3 months for conclusive.
