Is it HSV-2 Genital Herpes?

On Dec 28, 2021, I went to a massage parlour and the masseuse gave me handjob for about 5 minutes with some kind of coconut oil where we are in naked conditions. After that, I did oral to her female genital (cunnilingus) for about 30 seconds to 1 minute maximumly. Then, I rub my penis on her vulva for about several seconds to 1 minute (like grinding). After that, the head of my penis (glans part) was inserted into her vagina accidentally for about 10 seconds. I pulled it out afterwards and there was no ejaculation inside. But I guess that there might be some transparent fluid in her vagina and on my penis which are produced by arousal naturally. I didn't use condom or any protection.

Few days after that exposure, I suffered from candida yeast infection (red spots and some redness) on some area of my glans part. I applied clotrimazole cream and red spots were gone. I also had encountered testicular pain for a month and often tingling at the glans part for a month which are relieved now.

But the redness still remains the same up to present day. On April 20, I went to an oil massage and my penis was in contact with the massage bed and towel they provided to cover my private parts. After that day, the red spots appear back on my glans and redness becomes worsen.

So I kindly would like to know the followings;

1. Is HSV-2 (Genital herpes) really contagious or easily infected? because I have found out on some websites that it is easily infected just by being in contact for a short time.

2. When a person infected with genital herpes, does everyone have fluid-filled blisters or not?

3. Can genital herpes cause red spots and redness without having any fluid-filled blister?

4. The red spots and redness on my glans can be genital herpes?

Thank you very much. I am very concerned and depressed as those signs do not go away up to present day :(

Hi.

Having read your detailed description of events I would like to start by saying this was a safe sex encounter not entirely low risk but taking everything into consideration the risk for any and all STI are low.

Unfortunately with the penetration that occurred you are at risk for all STI but the brief exposure is in your favour, also we do not know this person had any infections and normally, people do not.

The insertion bit was the most risky, the grinding bit was slightly risky for skin to skin infections such as herpes or syphilis.

Your handjob was extremely safe.

You liking her vagina is low risk for STI localised to your throat, probably nothing to worry about as it’s very very low risk but I want you to be aware.

How soon did the red spots appear ?

On to your questions.

1. Is HSV-2 (Genital herpes) really contagious or easily infected? because I have found out on some websites that it is easily infected just by being in contact for a short time.

It is variable on how infectious it is, if the other person has herpes in the genital region then it can be very infectious (normally when the person has a visible outbreak) quote infectious (normal when they virus is active but not infectious) or not infectious at all (if virus is dormant) sorry i can’t answer specifically but it’s a complex virus with in how it works.

I do feel that the brief contact lowers your risk but it’s hard to say.

2. When a person infected with genital herpes, does everyone have fluid-filled blisters or not?

No not everyone some people get mild symptoms but for an initial outbreak I would expect some fluid filled blisters and pain.

3. Can genital herpes cause red spots and redness without having any fluid-filled blister?

Yes it could cause what you describe but not likely.

4. The red spots and redness on my glans can be genital herpes?

It can be but probably not. They are many other things in play, even irritation to the oil that was used.

If you are concerned a clinic can swab and test. They could also have a look it’s way better to ***** what it is by looking.

But I don’t think this sounds like typical Herpes at all and seen as you had a reasonably safe exposure I think you are probably ok.

The red spots have appeared three days after the exposure.
Herpes onset can start after two days so if is in play. It’s average is 5 days so it’s a little early, but unfortunately can’t rule it out. I still doubt it is Herpes with it been fairly atypical but best thing to do is let a doctor see it.
You have 2 threads going now. Let's stick to the other one with all your history in it.

Thanks!
