So Miserable and Worried

I have two questions. First is really easy.
1. Does anyone know anyplace in Northern California to obtain a rapid HSV2 test like the SureView or Biokit? Seems nearly impossible to locate this.

2. Any guesses on my symptoms. 1 week ago I observed a single red spot on my scrotum about 1.5 inches below the base of my penis. On closer inspection I noticed a noticed an almost circular shaped cut that appeared deep in the skin. No blistering or obvious weeping.

Over the course of the week sometimes it looks better sometimes worse. No scab is developing. And I’ve never really felt any pain.
Any thoughts?

really this isn't likely to be herpes going on. realize that there is a difference between guilt and risk too. A one time encounter is very low risk in general for herpes.

I keep reading that herpes on scortum is not common but that does not help my fears.

did gon/clap two weeks after. did HIV three months (actually did bunch of HIV tests). did syphillis at two weeks - realize this was too early. did not follow up with hsv - told not to unless I showed symptoms.

had you had any std testing prior to this?  if so, how long after the incident was it done?

ok then plenty of time for your testing to be accurate.  call monday for your test results if they haven't called you before that.

Cheated on my wife 8 months ago when I was stone drunk. Gave up drinking for good after that. Had no symptoms following the incident until this.

I know patience is hard when waiting for test results. try to keep yourself busy - blood test results should be back in a day or two.

how long prior to this had you last had sex?

Emailed local support group but got no reply.
Called SureView - customer service had no way of looking up docs.
No one in the area offers the biokit.

Doc saw it and said it didn't especially look like it but he also said that every herpes case looks a bit different. He took a culture and I'm waiting for my blood test but I can't stand the waiting . It's driving me nuts...almost can't take it anymore...feels like everything in my life is just falling apart.

you'd have to contact a local herpes support group and ask for help as to where or call the manufacturers and ask them who orders it near you.  

you need to wait at least 3 months after the last time you had sex to get the blood testing done- even the rapid tests. has it been that long?

have you been seen and had your rashes looked at?
