Swollen Tonsils could it have been an out break?

I got swollen tonsils when I woke up about a couple times in the last year. It was so bad that it was hard to eat or swallow. But both times I drink orange juice and took a zinc pill and it was better by the end of the day. 2 years ago I took a STD test and tested positive for type 1 and 2 type herpes. When this happened I had no other signs of a outbreak. Also I have had no other signs of herpes in my life. When this happens do I need to be concerned about herpes or do I need to be concerned now since I never went to a doctor and got treated by a doctor?

certainly worthwhile to get the actual results due to the false positive issues with the testing. if you had a test that only returns with a + or a -, not an actual numeric result, you need to get confirmatory testing done.

I don't know the results. He just said I tested postive and said if I any problems schedule a appointment and go from there. I just don't know if I should be worried for her since I never had a sore or any other problems other then that.

really not too much else I can add at this point. be seen when you have symptoms and find out what is causing them.

will gladly take a look at your herpes test results if you want to post them - e.g. hsv1 igg 4.3 and hsv2 igg 4.9 or whatever they are to make sure you don't' need additional testing done to confirm your status.

So if I get a lump sometimes near my groin but no other symptoms and it goes away in a month or 2. Also it doesn't hurt or anything. So does that means i could be very contagious at this time? Because I am not sure if when this has happen if I have had intercourse with a condom with my girl friend. Also having foreplay without using condom. Also she knows I have been tested positive.

just swollen tonsils aren't likely to be due to herpes.

So is swollen lymph nodes rather you get them in your tonsils or near you groin area is just a sign you could be getting a outbreak not that you have a outbreak? Because if you would get something like that sometimes and no other symptoms. Does that mean you should take the precaution that you are having a outbreak with others?

herpes ob's won't clear up in a day.

if you've had this issue a few times in the past year, certainly time for additional follow up to find out what is going on. no reason to think herpes as a cause though.
