Transmission rates herpes

I been doing alot of reading since I tested positive last week for I and II. I am sure I will be in another relationship eventually. If I am not taking any medication or using comdoms, what is possibility of me transmitting the virus to my partner if I am asymptomatic? I have been very depressed since I was diagnosised.

The middle of last year I began noticing a tingling feeling. I had what I thought was a bug bite or something along that line. However, when I had an actual outbreak in March I realized it was not just a bug bite. I do believe I got it from my husband. I found out he was cheating on me for a year supposingly with one girl. However, I've caught him in 9 affairs over the past 9 years. I really have no doubt I got it from him.

Are you sure you got it from your husband most people don't know who was responsible for passing it on unless you have only had one sexual partner, either or both of you may have had it even before you met and been asymptomatic for a very long time, this can and does happen which is a shame really because when it does decided to become symptomatic it can cause caople to look directly at infidelity when often as not that isn't the case at all ......

Ooh, I will definately protect any future partner I may have. I know how I feel knowing that my husband has given me this. I would hate to make anyone feel the way I feel right now. I do believe I will have a hard time in the future discussing this issue though. There is such an ugly perception connected to "HERPES". After the time I have had with my husband though it will be along time before I even consider getting involved. I'll have plenty of time to figure it all out. Thanks for the response.

The risk will always be there,I don't run my life according to stats anymore simply because I aquired my own HSV2 from a "one off " encounter so therefore believe unprotected sex with an infected person who has visible symptoms or not carries the risk of transmission perhaps higher when there is an active outbreak going on but in my case there was no outbreak,in fact I doubt he even knows he has it which is the case for many infected people, but you know you have it so it's your responsibility to protect others now and know that you can and will eventually pass it to someone if you have unprotected sex,it can also be passed via oral sex since you also have HSV1 ....
