Viral Meningitis

Doctor,
I have just come back from a viral meningitis. Some of the symptoms are still present however, in a much reduced form. i had two questions.
1. I am a sexually active individual. While i had the virus (a day before i started to present the meningitis symptoms), i used my own saliva as a lubricant and at the end i ended using a condom after all. The problem is that my saliva did touch my genitals and was even present during erection. Could a viral meningitis have been converted to herpes meningitis simply because of my own saliva????(PS. the girl had a lumbar puncture done just in case, i paid :). She turned out negative.)
2. Could i still be sexually active even though I just ended having viral meningitis? if not, for how long and what am i limited to, in other words, can i kiss a girl, oral sex, etc.?

this isn't the doctor's forum.  You need to pay to post there.

Did they diagnose you as having a herpes meningitis or are you just wondering if this might be due to herpes?

If you are concerned about std's and herpes especially - you need specific testing for them. viral meningitis is not a std.
