Very high 44.2 IGg results first positive test!!!

I believe i was infected in Oct 2013 and tested 8 weeks later after I began to think I was having a OB. No pain just a single red 1mm sores appeared on my labia that stayed for 10 days and healed over. I was horrified at my results from LapCorp 44.2H!!! I mean is that a normal number?? It also doesnt specify hsv1 or 2.... Please help

No the value is not indicative of having both types. Only type specific testing will identify which infections you have.

I sure hope so. I'd rather have 1 than 2 I am currently in between insurances so I cant afford to go back to the dr right now. I did have unprotected sex in Oct so could it be possible with a number so high that I have both or not so much???

This sounds like a combined test. The most likely interpretation is that you have an oral HSV1 infection. This tells you nothing about whether or not you have a genital infection.

Ask for a type specific testing for HSv1 and HSV2 for more information.
