What are the chances I have herpes ONLY on my tongue?

Hey everyone

So a few weeks ago I had unprotected sex with a girl I met on tinder. I double checked to make sure she didn't have any diseases, and she said she was clean.

Fast forward a few weeks, and my tonsils are pretty sore (however that may have been from staying awake for 20 hours straight). Fast forward to nowadays, and I have painful bumps all over my tongue. I was beginning to think it was herpes. I have not gotten any cold sores nor have I had any signs of genital herpes either.

Here's another caveat. Every time I eat a lot of sugar, I get little white bumps on my tongue. It's been happening since I was a kid. Anyways, the week before this, I had a TON of sugar (I'm taking Red Bull in the morning, soda during lunch, soda at night, candy during the day maybe), so that might play into it.

It won't hurt to have your Dr or dentist take a look

A superficial spot that turns into a fluid filled blister type lesions in a day or two. The progress rather quickly. Again what you describe does not sound like hsv

What do you mean when you say "superficial spot"?
Many of the bumps are small and yellowish and sporadically placed around my tongue

Nothing you describe sounds like hsv at all. It would be very rare to get hsv on your tongue only. Your odds of that happening are slim to none. If you get a lesion then have it swabbed. That being said I doubt you have anything to worry about
