reflex you mean - not reflux....he he he
As Emma already pointed out - most adults have hsv1 but most of us don't get obvious cold sores to know it. Once you know your partner's hsv status you can better decide if this is even anything you have to worry even a little about.

My exposure to hsv2 would have been from oct 2007 to early dec of 2007. The blood testing that was done was HSVI HSVII with reflux

It's not unusual to have a positive result for HSV-1. About half of the population has the virus orally, but most of us do not have visible symptoms (such as cold sores). If you ever do have an oral outbreak, do not have oral sex with your partner until the cold sore goes away (oral-to-genital infection is possible during an outbreak). Your positive HSV-1 results really should not interfere with your sex life at all.
Regarding the HSV-2, blood tests can take up to four months to be positive for the IgG antibody. Make sure you get a type-specific blood test (IgG only, NOT IgM), such as HerpeSelect.
Good luck and best wishes,
Em
When was your possible exposure to HSV2?
