Reoccurring HSV1 breakouts?

Hello,
My previous breakout was probably, 10 days ago. And today i am
Feeling that I will have another breakout, same place as the previous one. I was wondering why would cause the reoccurring breakouts, it is so unusual for me honestly.

AJ, you know my complete history.
Is it BC? My SSRI medications? Me being in the sun? Change of weather? Not consuming vegetables and fruits?

Thoughts?

Yeah, I agree with curfew. It could be any of the things you mentioned, or none of them (I'd doubt it's the SSRIs, maybe the BC, more likely stress or sun). I go through periods with hsv2 where I seem to get outbreaks with no explanation, and sometimes I can pinpoint the exact reason.

Talk to your doc about suppression. It helps me a ton. Or at least have some valtrex or acyclovir on hand to take at the very first sign.

I just hope my body is not fighting an illness.

I would say it is more likely stress, and poor nutrition.
The last 19 days I haven’t eaten well at all. So that’s major.

It could be sunlight, but given your recent history, it is likely related to stress.  Stress is known trigger for outbreaks, and I think it's clear that you've been under stress.

You may want to talk to your doctor about suppressive meds.  My husband and I both have oral HSV-1, and while outbreaks aren't frequent enough to warrant daily meds, we do have meds for impending outbreaks.  As soon as either of us feels a telltale tingle, we take the meds immediately.  It doesn't totally prevent the symptoms, but it does ease the severity and duration by a lot.  This may be worthwhile for you to investigate, especially during this time of stress.

I definitely will!
Thank you! I hope it’s only stress.
