I was diagnosed with hsv2 (genital) 4 months ago this is maybe my 8th outbreak although I only get 1 or 2 sores it's extremely uncomfortable and I get super tired I am on acyclovir 400mg I was told it gets better with time I really hope so some friends say deodorant works and makes sores disappear and others have said to put coconut oil or tea tree oil which helps relieve tje pain but idk I'd have to give it a shot, I know exactly how you feel I feel the same
That is absolute rubbish.
Ask for the test results to be emailed to you (PDF file, copy paste etc.). We need to look at this test and the results ASAP.
You should not be having these issues 9 months after possible infection. There is something else going on here I would think.
I do not have the paperwork. She just called me and told me it was both hsv 1 and 2. She said since I have both it would be more aggressive and I could take 1000 mg instead of 500 mg daily to help suppress it.
Have you got the exact results of the blood test that suggested you have HSV1 and HSV2? I think establishing type is very important here. There is just something not quite right in the diagnosis.
The antivirals are quite effective so it is strange to continue to have bad outbreaks.
The first outbreak happened within 2 days of intercourse (that man still denies he had it). I went to the dr later that week, she said it was nothing but took a blood test anyway. Results came back as negative. Then, the outbreak got worse and I went back to see another nurse practitioner in the practice. She said it was herpes but did not take a culture. She just gave me pain meds and sent me on my way. I went to a completely different dr and she swabbed, there was no outbreak at the time. The swab came back positive and then I started meds. After that I went back to my original dr for another blood test and the results came back positive for
Hsv 1 and 2. I started daily medications because my out breaks were so frequent and now I am up to 1000 mgs because they just keep coming.
I have read your other posts, but let's start from the top.
How long was it from your last sexual encounter until the first outbreak occurred? When did the swab occur? What blood test did you have and what were the results?
