confused..
I am 6.5 months pregnant, just moved out of state, and have a new obgyn. My second (last) visit with her, she told me I have herpes. I have had a vaginal discharge for quite some time now. I have been told it was a bacterial infection years ago and my last obgyn told me it was a yeast infection which is very common in pregnant women. I have never had a sign or symptom of herpes, ever! Could my new doc be wrong? Could I have hpv and test positive for herpes? She seems very scatter-brained and emotionless when she told me. I just don't know what to do! Please help!!
You need to find out what testing you had done for herpes. find out if you had a lesion culture come back as +, a blood test that came back + or if it's just a visual diagnosis.

I don't know. My first visit with her, I told her my last doctor told me I have a yeast infection. So she said ok, I'm just going to check you out. She was down there for a while and never told me she was testing for anything specific. I have never had ANY symptoms of anything except a dishcarge I have had for years. I don't understand why she would even test for it. She also did a random thyroid test that came back low. She doesn't even remember why she ordered that test. Do you think I should find a new obgyn?
