do you think it could be herpes? if not, what??! HELP
i had sex with someone about 8 days ago (moday) and he said he had been tested for stds in january and did not have any. he also said that he has not had sex since then except for me, but he could be lying about that. on thursday, i started to become sick and it turned out to be tonsilitis, so im hoping maybe it just has something to do with that.. on sunday i noticed a little pain in my vagina area & i looked & saw a little white bump. it is a little painful bump on top of labia minora near opening of clitoris(but not on clitoris, its on the labia minora) -used to be white then red, burns when peeing because its right near opening, hurts when i touch it, and im very itchy & a little red in the surrounding area & a little swollen too....
i dont know what to do because im only 15 almost 16 & my mom would be SO upset with me if she found out i had sex especially because she does not like this boy.. so im scared to ask her to go get tested & it wouldnt show up in a blood test for like a month anyway so im trying to find any answers i can asap that can help me out i am so scared and upset and dont even know what to do with myself..please help

you need to be seen and get a proper exam. sitting at home trying to self diagnose is not a good idea at all :(
Grace!! idk what to do its gotten a little worse its Very itchy and alittle red and swollen and the skin looks like it is peeling but its not dry...i read online that thrush can be a side effect of amoxicillin, which is the antibiotic my doctor put me on for the tonsilitis, but i had the little white pimple too so would that happen with thrush or is that something else??? im hoping that it is just a side effect from the antibiotic but is that possible with the symptoms i have???
ok thank you so much i think i will have my mom take me to the doctor but i wont tell her the real reason but hopefully she doesnt find out & i hope its not anything too bad :( thank you though!!
if your symptoms are going away, it's too late for a lesion culture. certainly follow up on testing for vaginitis and get this looked at too.
legally, your parents have to pay your medical bills but they can't know why you were seen at your age. totally sucks as a parent but it does allow you to seek out medical care with privacy.
your partner getting tested isn't going to help if this isn't a std related issue going on. you need to be seen.

i dont know what to do!! my mom works until about 6 and the doctors office i go to closes at 5 so she would only be able to take me on her lunch break but tomorow she is busy during her lunch break and im scared the symptoms are going to go away!!

Lesion culture is when the dr swabs the area(ur pimple) and check to see if it is hsv +
Coming from a mom, if my daughter told me this id be upset and dissapointed but I would be there for her 100% of the way and help her. We might seem tough but trust me moms have unconditional love, and I would rather my daughter tell me than anyone else.
what is a lesion culture? the symptoms are starting to go away so im scared that it wont be accurate enough..

Seems really low risk & no he might not have been "shedding" the virus at the time for you to get it. Go to your family doctor, they have all the insurance info already & he/she won't tell your mom esspecially if you ask him not to. Just tell your mom you wanted to get the tonsilitis checked out again. Let her wait in the waiting room and u go in my urself. Stay strong and get it checked out right away. Its better to know.
if they suspect herpes at this point, they will do a lesion culture on your active symptoms to get answers now.
you can get hsv2 orally from performing oral on a partner but the risk of such is very low.
you are over 14 so you have medical privacy. why not tell your mom it hurts when you urinate so you need to go and be seen, go to the appointment by yourself and talk with the provider on your own about it all so that you get proper testing done?
this needs done today or tomorrow - don't put it off!!

i was probably going to go to the nearest planned parenthood center and get tested there, but i read online that they test by doing a blood test (finger prick), which i read that it wouldnt show up in a blood test for about 1-3 months. also, i dont think i have enough money for that yet without telling my mom because idk what kind of insurance we have or anything...i dont want to wait that long but i might have to :(

you need to be seen today or tomorrow and get this properly examined. this is not something to wait and see about - it needs dealt with now! you need to be properly tested for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally for starters as well as you can get tested for gonorrhea, chlamydia and trich if this was unprotected sex.
did you also cover pregnancy properly?
have you had your gardasil shots too since you are sexually active?

Hopefully its nothing serious. I know a lot of girls get sweat pimples around this time its been really hot lately and it is usually really hot and humid down there, sometimes they can itch esspecially if ur checking wiping and dehydrating the area, just get it checked out, sometimes we worry our sleves sick we think everything we feel is a symptom. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
usually when i pee or touch it if i just leave it alone its okay but its very itchy, thanks for your advice though ill try to find someone

You first said it was painful, then you said it is painful when you pee. So it is painful all the time, or only when you pee?
Recommendation: find a trustful adult, relative, older sister, older relative. (last resort would be your mother), who can take you to a doctor and help you throughout all this.
