Possible herpes?

In December 2010 I had protected sex with someone that i know for sure is sexually active. Two weeks later I had a rash on my left thigh which was turned into many small blisters in one area. I had a fever, tingling sensation, swollen groin and my left butt was swollen as well. I went in for a culture test and was negative, but my doctor said it was shingles. This was done two weeks after the encounter. I also did a blood and pee test after as well. Negative. A week later i noticed on the corner of the tip of my penis became slightly sore. It has been awhile now since, and there is no blisters on my penis. I was checked by my doctor and a dermatologist and they both said it did not look like herpes. Is it possible that herpes may show up on my penis? I'm not sure if i even have it but im scared it may be. My doctor wont let me get a blood test for another 3 months. What should I do?

dryness isn't a herpes symptom.

if you have new symptoms, be seen and have them looked at.

repeat your herpes igg blood test so that you can put this past you.

I dont realy have a way of contacting her except facebook which is a little awkward, but I will definetely get tested very soon. Thanks. I've been relying on the fact that my doctors say its nothing but lately i've been having fears of it turning into blisters. Is it usual that a penis become slightly swollen and become blisters after 3 months?  I thought it would show up a lot sooner by now. My dermatologist said it may just be from irritation from condoms of some sort..I hope so!

you can repeat your blood test now. enough time has passed since the december encounter. you just have to wait 3 months after the encounter to get the blood testing done.

have you spoken to the person from the encounter to see if they have been tested for herpes since your encounter with them?
