herpes or allergic reaction

Ok saturday morning i got up and felt a tingly /itchy feeling on my upper lip. I itched it and had a fruit but the fruit tasted milky. A few seconds later bam a few water bumps. I a like what? Now a day later the bumps have scabed over. So is this a cold sore or allergic reaction? Can anything other than hsv1 (herpes) cause water blisters or cold sores on the upper lip. Please get back to me asap. I am freaking out sighs!!!

At this point you need to be seen for a proper work up.  Herpes won't come in a day.  Could be an allergic reaction but be seen for a proper work up.

You can also talk to your doctor about getting a hsv type specific igg test for knowing your HSV status.

Okay again you need to be seen.  Yes an allergic reaction can have some bumps on the lips but BE SEEN.  A cold sore is HSV-1.  I don't think you know what a cold sore is to begin with.  See your provider for a proper work up.

Well all the dscription I have seen online fits the description on my lip except for the fact that mine are real small patch and on the upper part of the lip. I am in real panoc mode because i scared i have passed this on to someone else but I am praying for the best.

you are not listening I don't think - you needed to be seen sooner rather than later. really nothing we can help you with at this point.

allergies to fruit are common.  perhaps you want to start keeping a symptom diary too of what you are eating when you have these symptoms.  some fruit allergies are also common in people who have latex allergies too. this is certainly something well worth discussing with your provider to get to the bottom of. you can post online until the proverbial cows come home and it won't get you the answers you need.
