herpes or not, what do I do?

November 11 2013, I got one ulcer 2 days after sex on my labia, which lasted 3 days, three doctors said it was not herpes, was tested my blood work was negative. December 2013 I had a lympth node removed. We messed around again Dec 19, I got the same ulcer, lasted 3 days and I found out from my primary care doctor my bf (ex now) had given me ebv and cmv ( on Dec 27). Sad case he blame me from being dirty but I got it from him he was so mean . . Jan 2014 messed around with him bad mistake; however I got 3 ulcers this time which lasted 3 days. I went to obgyn this time,  she said ebv and cmv could be the reason, she said it didnt look like herpes. she tested me for ebv and herpes. A week later she told me I had antibodies for ebv and hsv igg 3.28h, soon as I left I went to my primary care doctor, he did a culture and it was negative.

I have not had any issues since the last ulcer....I was tested for everything again feb 7 except herpes urgent care doctor didnt want to test me. Everything was normal, blood, urine etc no stds. I am not sure what to do.

Question:
Should I get another herpes test from a different doctor, get the western blot or Its 100% i have herpes?

@life360......It was for hsv2. Yea. I'm nervous about confirming it. I got sick beginning November which could have been when I was exposed and was tested second week in January. And yea the ulcers healed very fast . I have not taken any medicine. Can I go to Quest and ask for western blot or do I have to have a doctor request it?

Thank you

Hi, fnd out if its hsv1 or 2.  A 3.28 does fall outside the false positive range which is numbers under 3. An old infection most often test at 5 and above so your range could be a false positive or a recent infection. Swabs are only good for showing a positive not a negative as can be difficult to find the virus.

However it does not appear your ulcers are herpes as dont usually clear up in 3 days most often its around 2 weeks.
Do retest with the WB to confirm. At this point its a coin toss.
