to add i have had a swollen lymph node in my groin which has decreased a lil.
Did you have any specific symptoms prior to blood test ? When was the last exposure ? Was it protected / oral ? Do you know if you have been diagnosed with HSV1 ?
yes i had a couple of blister like bumps on my shaft near my pubic region, they were nothing like herpes blisters and they had hair in them. i just figured they was hair follicles. they bust when i pulled the hair in them ....clear fluid...no pain at all. they didnt itch either.
to add, I had sex with a chick unprotected, then a week later she was diagnosed with herpes,
after she was diagnosed, she called and told me to get tested , she said that she knew who gave it to her and that she was exposed 3 weeks prior to our contact.
Was the Igg test HSV2 specific ? Was it a single unprotected exposure ?
at this point, since you recently had sex with a new partner, you need to wait until 3 months post encounter and repeat your testing. if your hsv2 igg is still under 5 at that time, seek out a herpes WB to confirm your status. meanwhile if you have any genital symptoms before then, be seen promptly for a lesion culture and typing to try to confirm your infection.
were you ever tested for herpes before this?
grace
no i have never been tested for herpes before, this is my first herpes test. i have not been feeling sick or none of the other herpes symptoms just those painless blisters that bursted when i pulled the hair coming out of them and my lymph node in my groin was a lil swollen. ......this was a one time encounter with this chick and i used a condom until it broke and rolled all the way up on my penis, once i noticed that i was bare for about 2-3 mins i quickly put on another condom. im not freaking out if i do have it because i have read so much info on here and i think i mite can handle it...i just feel dirty. ....another question? my blisters were not painful as they say herpes blisters are, i pressed on them and everything!! and can i contract it from a female a week before her first outbreak? (she didnt know she had it till after our contact)
i thought that a 3.87 was extremely high!! thats why i just knew for sure that I had it. so your saying under a 5 is low? i will definitely get tested again in 3 months to confirm!! i dont know how the herpes point system work.
you might've even had hsv2 prior to her and never knew it.
wait and repeat your testing and go from there.
wow!! this is all new to me.....so is my score considered low?
better yet, is there any chance that i might not have it.
we recommend confirming anything under 5 if you haven't had a + lesion culture to confirm infection.
