Herpes IGG type specific test, conclusive?

Hello Terri,
I am simply seeking your opinion. I have had a herpes IGG type specific blood test done 91 days after my last sexual encounter. My Clinic called me and told me that the tests came out to be negative (both HSV-1 and HSV-2) and that 91 days was a sufficient amount of time to consider theses tests conclusive. Would you agree, or would u recommend re-testing at a later date?

Thank you for your time.

This is the community forum, Terri responds in the paid expert forum.

Yes this is conclusive, you are negative according to the blood test and the chances are extremely small that you'd seroconvert from here.

Do you have any reasons to doubt the blood test?

Not necessarily. I have never had overt genital lesions of any kind. I have been experiencing some pain in my right groin area however but im almost certain it is from something else (due to my negative blood tests). Thank you for your reply though. Much appreciated.
