Herpes from Saliva Contact?

If a person spits on someone else's lip or face (while talking) with a visible coldsore is that a means transmission? Especially if the other person had dry lips?

Thank you, I appreciate you responding. I feel like I should have already known that was not a risk factor, but sometimes hearing it from someone else makes a difference. Thanks again.
