we don't have good links to post. it's information buried in other studies.
since hsv2 oral doesn't occur very often, we can't come up with the same stats for transmission like we do for hsv2 genital to genital infections.
I always recommend pointing a potential partner to the free herpes handbook at www.westoverheights.com for accurate and up to date info on herpes to better educate themselves.
Can anyone supply a link to a reputable source for statistics on oral transmission from a male to any oral partner. AS I am starting suppression therapy (I understand the therapy lessens shedding thus decreases transmission) I would like to inform any potential partner their risks and be able to supply a reputable source they can read and make an informed decision. Thank you for any help given.
you can transmit your hsv2 to a partners oral area but the odds of such are very low. daily suppressive therapy reduces the already low risk even more. of course never allow someone to perform oral on you when you have active symptoms.
keep asking questions!
