will I get herpes?

So I accidentally took a sip from a co workers drink straw and all, and then not until 2 months ago I noticed that the co worker has herpes around her mouth and I'm concerned will I get it after I accidentally took that sip one time?

The virus needs skin to skin contact to transfer. Like most viruses, it is weak outside the body and killed by oxygen. Added to that, there is rarely enough of the virus present to represent an infection risk even if you pashed her off!

You do also realize that there is a high chance you already have oral herpes in any event?

Thats correct. Like Dave said you had no risk from drinking from the straw. You absolutely didn't contract hsv from this.
