Did you test positive for HPV? HPV is sexually transmitted, very very common and leads to cell changes in the cervix.
Little abnormality suggests you have very very mild changes, really nothing to worry about, as long as you take the Dr's advise, stay healthy etc
I don't know if I tested positive for HPV or not. Like I said, the Dr would not give me any information. I don't go for my test for another 2 weeks. I am hoping that it is nothing serious. Thanks for your post!
I had my coloscopy done last week and there were no abnormal cells present (which I was very happy to hear). The doctor said my cevix looked perfectly healthy but they took and Endocervical Curettage to check for abnormal cells inside my cervix (where they can't see). This worries me a bit. Why would they do this if no abnormal cells were present? They said there was no reason to do a biopsy. I will have to wait another 2 weeks for these results to come back. Any idea what this means?
I just had a coloscopy a few months ago. The dr told me the same thing, my pap was a "litle" abnormal. Of course I was really nervous as well. Turns out there were no abnormal cells at all. The dr told me that when a pap comes back a "little" abnormal that it's not a cause for concern, it could be something as small as an infection. They didn't do a biopsy and was told that they don't normally do that if it's only a bit abnormal. I would not worry about this. Just stay calm and I'm sure everything will turn out okay! Good luck
