Can low risk hpv become high risk

I am a married husband and I contracted HPV more than two years ago which i dont know when, after I realized ( got genital warts) I told my wife and we were both anxious about it. She tested for HPV year ago and fortunately her result came negative(both hpv and Pap) . I recently had another out breaks. Is it possible she gets high risk if we are loyal to each other?

Low risk hpv cannot become high risk because they are different virus strains. The strains that cause warts do not cause cancer and vice versa. However, it is possible to carry multiple strains at the same time. But since your wife was negative for high risk and you both remain faithful, you will only have the warts to worry about, not cancer. I suggest checking out some of the forums and articles by Dr. Hunter Handsfield regarding hpv. Very knowledgeable.
