I actually just took a look at it yesterday, and after that rough week where I couldn't use the Condylox because of severe pain and irritation, the wart has decreased in size substantially. I think I am going to stick it out with this method.
Does itchiness mean anything? I do have a tad of itchiness, especially when taking showers
Yes, dermotalogist deals with removal of the warts. I had a wart problem about 4 months ago and it cleared up pretty quickly. I have had the acid treatment once. It wasn't pleasant but worked. I had two small warts and the acid was able to get rid of both of them in one treatment and they never came back, up till today im still clear.
You should definitely go see a dermotologist and seek out new methods if what you are doing currently isn't working for you. Good luck, don't worry and everything will work out for u.
Dermatologists deal with STD problems like this?
I would see a dermatologist or a gynecologist. They say in two weeks the wart is usually gone. Definately set yourself up with a doctor.
Now I would just go to the hospital or something for this? I don't have an actual doctor at the moment. And how long is the healing process?
My acid treatment was 90 dollars, and my insurance covered about 50 dollars, so I paid about 40. ONe treatment should do ya, but it depends on the root of the wart.
I'm 25, I had this when I was 23. I had sex (in fact, the last and final sexual encounter since) when I was 23, with my ex-girlfriend. Got it from her since. I wouldn't worry about it, might I ask you a personal question, do you have any underlying condition? I personally suffer from a heart disease, fallots tetralogy, and my doctor said it could be this condition that is slowing the pace of recovery because a 'normal' person without any underlying condition would heal within 2 years and I'm already past 2 years.
I know it is depressing, but is you harp on it, you won't recover from it. So I'd suggest you keep at it, your gym workout and all, stay healthy, it'll eventually go away. When the time comes, you don't even remember anything about it and it is like a bad dream...
I already have changed my eating habits to a healthier way, and I have been going to the gym for a year and a half around. I also contracted this in June of last year, it showed up sometime in the summer, I'm not completely sure when. So when would this "2 year" mark be? From the point we had sex, or when the wart showed up? It's just really depressing, because like I'm a 20 year old male. Most men at this age are horny people (for lack of better term), and I can't do anything out of embarrassment.
to kld44: How much is this trichloric acid treatment? My warts I don't think are bad. I have one, possibly 2, I can't really tell. Would this maybe result in only one trip?
I have had the trichloric acid treatment only once, but my warts were so bad, some didn't go away, so I'm waiting for my next treatment...they say within a few treatments, you should be wart free.
If your body is healthy and can suppress the virus, sure, it'll go away. But if you don't take care of your body, keep stressing it and feeling anxious, you'll end up with a recurrence. So I'd advice you to not pick up drinking or smoking, which is good because you don't do either. Eat fruits and vegetables, in fact, start living a healthy life! Eventually, it'll go away. Give yourself 2 years. Unless you have some underlying condition, it might take more than 2 years but it will go away.
Thanks for the help. I already don't smoke or drink so that's a plus :) And I have been drinking lots of water and trying to wear looser clothing. It kills me that I can't go to the gym because of this irritation, like what the heck! >_<
I was going to wait to go until after it healed back up, but I'm also going on vacation in the beginning of July, so I was thinking of waiting until after then so I'm in no pain when I go there.
Does this Trichloric Acid have a good success rate? Like what are the chances of any wart(s) showing up again?
If the wart is red, inflammed or itchy, a doctor may not treat. I would suggest using a Neopsporin with pain relief to help heal it, then maybe see your doc about Tricholric Acid. Its an acid they put on the wart in a very small amount that kills the root. It may cost a little, but not as much as surgery. Keep the area dry and don't wear tight clothing, to speed up the healing process. Drink lots of water, don't smoke, and don't drink :) Hope this helps!
