Hello. I had a one time mutual oral encounter with another man. This was a one-time encounter, both ways, maybe 10-15 minutes. While I understand HPV is fairly common, my understanding from research is that it is less common to be acquired from receiving or giving oral as compared to vaginal or anal sex. I've also read that it takes a fair amount of contact to occur. My understanding is that if HPV was even present, a single potential exposure that was oral only for 10 minutes or so would not likely transit either from genital to oral, or oral to genital. Does my understanding of this sound correct? Thanks.

Just a follow-up. I read an article from a few years back where Dr Handsfield fielded a similar question concerning HPV from a one-time oral encounter. He said the chances of HPV from that are virtually zero. Is this still true? Thanks.
