I'm a teenage female diagnosed with genital wart kind of HPV. I found out about my virus about 2 months ago, and had my warts removed 2 weeks ago through laser surgery; I'm still in recovery mode. My gynocologist made it very clear to me to quit smoking, although I can't fully recall the reason why (I believe the virus tends to persist more on smokers.) Honestly, I am in college, and I do drink ALOT, and I also get really bad hungovers. My doctor said that in order for my body to fight this virus, I must opt for a healthy lifestyle and build a strong inmune system. I know that drinking is not part of the plan when it comes to a "healthy lifestyle", and I'm also aware of the fact that getting hangover is not a positive factor for my inmune system, but I want to know if drinking is definitely out of my life as for now. Will drinking affect my hpv directly (as in the virus) or just my inmune system? (if it just affects my inmune system I know that in the long run it will affect my recovery from the virus, I am aware.) Can I atleast drink in moderation?
