Chances to communicate HPV after LLETZ procedure

Hi,

I recently had a LLETZ procedure after being diagnosed with abnormal cells from my cervix. As it is more likely that I have been infected with an HPV, I would like to know what are the risks of having sex (both oral and sexual intercourse) with a woman. In which ways could she get infected from me?

Thanks

It all depends if you get more abnormal cells again or not.  If not, then you are not infectious and cannot infect anyone.  If yes, then it is possible to infect your partner via oral and genital sex. Both sex acts can lead to infecting others or getting infected with additional strains. There is no such thing as absolute safe sex. It is a myth. Oral sex is definitely safer than genital sex, but not 100% safe. The virus remains in one's body forever but few (5-10%) become infectious again. No one knows who this will be in this percentage of re-occurrence. If you are sleeping with someone who you slept with previously, then they already have what you have but may not show any signs. If it is a new partner and they have been sexually active, the odds are good that they have it too. Perhaps a different strain than you.
