Do I have HPV? Or herpes?

Hey so I'm really nervous about finding out what's going on with my body. I've read a lot about Herpes and the symptoms and HPV but I can't exactly tell what I have. I do not recall being sick, having a sore throat or inflamed lymph nodes or anything of that sort so I don't think it's HIV, but I have noticed some small pimple looking like bumps growing in my pubic region. At first it was only one or two every so often (mostly a day after I shaved) which is what led me to believe it was just ingrown hairs. But now I have what looks to be a rash on my entire pubic region, and looks to be spreading towards my lower torso. The first day it was only 2 bumps. Then after having unprotected sex with a female I woke up the next day with a slight rash on the right hand side of my pupic area. I thought my body was just irritated so I thought nothing of it, and had sexual intercourse with the same person the next day. Now, what seems like my entire pubic region has what looks like small raised bumps everywhere with no white heads, and is not on my penis, penis shaft, or anus. Just on the pubic region. I don't want to scare myself to badly, but I don't want to over look it either. I have had similar irritation to this area in the past but it was no where near as bad, and the bumps were not as raised or noticeable, also this time they are occurring when I did not use a razor, I just used an electric shaver before they started appearing.
I am in the military so if I go to the doc. I will need a medical sheet pertaining to why I went. I don't wish to feel any more embarrassed than I already am. I am not quite sure how to add a picture on here yet but I can if necessary. Please help

Genital warts are not painful. Herpes scabs are painful and can sting. Rashes sometimes appear before both. Good luck!

Genital warts can be in any genital area, not just the penis or scrotum. Its probably nothing however the prudent thing is to see a dermatologist for a medical opinion. A rash sometimes indicates a herpes virus condition and you can get blood tested for it, 8-12 weeks after your last sex encounter. You may also want to stop having unsafe sex with women as it is is high risk.

I intend to see my health care provider but to keep my mind at ease, do the pimples/warts/rash from herpes normally sting, itch, or become extremely bothersome? Because I don't feel any discomfort whatsoever, I barely noticed the rash spread when I woke up to pee and when I touch the area they are not painful at all
