3 - 6 months after infection is the usual amount of time it takes for warts to appear. Some people go shorter, some go longer. If you drink booze or smoke, it can also cause warts in your oral cavity.
Warts take months or sometimes years to appear. I don’t think booze can give you warts if you haven’t been exposed to the HPV virus.
This disease is freaking nuts. You never get a reprieve. It can arise at anytime to make you feel physically and/or mentally like hell.
There's been so much focus on HIV (I'm very happy treatment has drastically improved). They've all but cured that infection, but there's still not even a reliable test for HPV let alone any real way to treat the virus. Sometimes I feel like the medical community hasn't put enough effort into this disease because they don't feel it's dangerous enough but anything that can cause cancer (even if the number is small) is pretty bad imo.
I'm glad they found a vaccine so that one day it may really be obsolete, but those of us that were too late....we just have to hope and/ or pray for the best.
